Ziggy + Kana had a beautiful Carlton Gardens Wedding on November 22nd 2015.

East meets West

Ziggy + Kana’s Love Story

Her first saw her stepping onto a train in brisbane on a dry april day. He had never before seen a girl look sad but so incredible beautiful as she would sneak glimpses of his emerald green eyes through her hair. Letting fate decide he vowed if they got off at the same stop he would get the courage to ask her what was wrong. They both stepped off the train in unison and after asking her she responded with a blank expression and a simple “nothing is wrong” curious she asked him “why did you think something was wrong?” Fearing there may be a language barrier he pulled a ridiculous crying face making her giggle, they went for coffee immediately. This sunny day marked the start of six months of discovery, armed with patience and the only japanese word he knew oba-san(aunty) together they explored Brisbane, each others personalities, core values and cultures, loving every moment.Continue Reading..

Swipe to the Right

Leah + Dan’s Love Story

With a mutual “swipe to the right” Daniel and Leah’s lives were forever transformed. A true modern day romance, these two found one another on ‘Tinder’ – a hook up app. Leah wasn’t so convinced with Daniel sporting a black eye upon their first meeting, evidence of too much Australia Day fun. But as she came to realise he was a gentle patient man, with family being his priority, Leah quickly found them moving from the friend zone to true love.Continue Reading..

Take my hand and dance with me | Rob + Nicky’s Adventures So Far

On tyre tubes in a Guatemalan river, a confident young English woman with long blonde hair met an energetic Australian bloke with pale blue eyes as clear as crystal. She was travelling north after a hospital placement in Costa Rica as part of her medical degree, he was travelling south accompanied by his brother Stu and friends. Days were spent discussing life’s adventures, rescuing her flip flops, admiring her Spanish skills and how incredibly a bikini clung to her body. Being slightly unkempt with wild sandy coloured hair only reeled her in more as he began impressing her with his solid core values and uncanny ability for spotting wildlife from a mile away. During the rise and fall of two Central American sunsets, the free spirits talked well into the dark about their beliefs that life was for exploring this earth and enjoying whatever time we have. As he took the steps onto his next bus she fought the urge to hug him, awkwardly they said their goodbyes. A wave of sadness washed over her, she realised now that something was missing that she hadn’t felt before.Continue Reading..

Quirky Alternative Intimate Wedding

The story of Grzesiek + Ela

After a long run of cold wintery days the sun decided to shine on the day Grzesiek + Ela wed. Birds soared above gliding their way over the strathbogie ranges in north east Victoria. This wasn’t to be your usual wedding, traditions were out the window as they both prepared for their day. One that was truly about sharing their love with family and friends in a intimate way. Strolling around in your tracky dacks whilst building fires, setting out the buffet and putting the finishing touches on the shed 2 hours before your ceremony would make most brides shudder but today this bride did exactly that.

A calm lingered in the air, that sense of quiet excitement that only a carefree attitude can bring. Clothes and bags, boxes and bowls filled the lounge in controlled chaos at the Crowes’s Nest homestead. Some close friends were already there to lend a helping hand where they could. An extension of the support they had already shown Ela over the years she had spent separated from Grzesiek. They had continued to love each each day despite the 9,677 miles between them, not an easy feat. Today would mark the beginning of the 6 week countdown to when their lives join together in time and space. Soon he can wake to drink in the smell of her freshly washed hair knowing they aren’t on borrowed time. It’s the simple things you crave when your have to be apart from the one you love. Bliss is preparing a home grown meal and delighting in lazy sunday afternoon reading sessions together, time standing still for a while.Continue Reading..
